Destination to the Stars
Did you know that the Turks & Caicos Islands is one of the most
popular destinations for Hollywood Stars?
Will Smith and his beautiful wife,
Jada Pinkett, visited the islands in early September and stayed just a few minutes from the Trade Winds Condotel in one of the island’s most luxurious resorts. Actor
Bruce Willis and actress
Demi Moore have been visiting the islands for years and own a house on Parrot Cay.
Sir Paul McCartney,
President Bill Clinton,
Robin Williams,
Kevin Costner are among the many illustrious names visiting the Turk & Caicos Islands.
Madonna is rumoured to be building a house on the island and
Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones owns land in North Caicos and
Eric Clapton’s two mast yacht can often be seen moored in Grace Bay. Our most famous resident for the past thirty years is American Bandstand host,
Dick Clark.
Our Premier, the Hon. Michael Missick, recently married the fabulous
Lisa Raye McCoy (Hollywood star of the hit sitcom, All of Us) and so we all excited about the prospect of many more Hollywood stars visiting the islands in the future.
Our New Roads
The government is currently upgrading all of our major roads on the island of Providenciales as well as other islands of the Turks & Caicos Islands. Mindful to obey the national speed limits (40mph on Leeward Highway and 20mph along Grace Bay Road) now our guests can travel safely and comfortably to their resort without driving along roads littered with dangerous potholes. Leeward Highway is an ultra modern highway built to the standard of UK road construction by the leading construction engineering firm in the Caribbean, Johnston International.
Wired island
At the Trade Winds Condotel resort we offer FREE high speed, wireless Internet connection to all our guests. It has been reputed that the Turks & Caicos Islands is the most “wired” country in the world!!
With only approximately 30,000 inhabitants in the Turk & Caicos Islands yet we still enjoy one of best cellular services in the world, and also enjoy the reputation of having one of the highest numbers of cellar users per captia of any country in the world. Before the end of the year the Turks & Caicos Islands will have three cellular providers; Cable & Wireless, Digicel and IslandCom.
Beaches
Did you know that Grace Bay Beach was voted the World’s Best Beach by the World Travel Awards? And did you know that it is only a three minute walk from the Trade Winds Condotel to what is now the quietest part of Grace Bay Beach! Imagine staying at The Trade Winds, close to shops and restaurants and only three minutes from the world’s best beach!!!! Surely, life could not get any better!!!!!
We are proud to be an approved AAA / CAA Triple-diamond rated.
