We had a lovely stay and will recommend Trade Winds Condotel. We especially loved the king size bed - it was very comfortable. The furniture in the main room was comfortable and big enough for two to lay down and read! Very nice. The kitchen was very well appointed too!

About Turks and Caicos...

Turks and Caicos Islands: The name Turks and Caicos is derived from the Turk`s head "fez" cactus found on the islands and Caicos comes from the Lucayan Indian phrase caya hico, meaning string of islands.

The native inhabitants of the Turks and Caicos Islands, known locally as Belongers are largely the descendants of slaves brought over to these islands during the Loyalist settlement of the Caicos Islands.  Other natives arrived via Bermuda to work in the early salt industry.  Turks and Caicos Islanders make up about half of the Island`s population.  Today, residents and citizens come form all over the globe including North America, Europe, Australasia and other islands of the Caribbean.  The country`s population is around 30,000 and growing.

With no heavy industry and few natural mineral resources, this tiny British-dependent island nation capitalizes on fresh air, crystal-clean waters, and a big, blue sky. Tourism is the primary industry in the Turks and Caicos followed by offshore banking services and fisheries.  Our condotel offers very competitive condo hotel rental rates for those who wish to visit.
